Sprynk Smart Planter Limited Warranty

1. Warranty Coverage
Sprynk LLC ("Sprynk") warrants to the original purchaser that the Sprynk Smart Planter (the "Product") will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase (the "Warranty Period"). This limited warranty applies only to the Product’s hardware components, including the base, soil unit, and USB-A to USB-C cable, and does not cover the Sprynk Progressive Web App (PWA) or any software, which are provided "as is."
2. What This Warranty Covers
During the Warranty Period, if the Product fails due to a manufacturing defect, Sprynk will, at its sole discretion:
- Repair the Product using new or refurbished parts;
- Replace the Product with a new or refurbished unit; or
- Refund the original purchase price, less depreciation based on usage.
Repairs or replacements under this warranty will be covered for the remainder of the original Warranty Period or ninety (90) days, whichever is longer.
3. What This Warranty Does Not Cover
This limited warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, or failure to follow the Product’s User Manual instructions;
- Damage due to water submersion, exposure to extreme temperatures (below 32°F or above 95°F), or other environmental factors beyond normal indoor use;
- Damage caused by unauthorized modifications, repairs, or disassembly;
- Normal wear and tear, including cosmetic damage (e.g., scratches, dents);
- Damage resulting from use with non-certified power sources or cables not compliant with IEC/UL 62368-1 standards;
- Loss or damage to plants, soil, or other property due to Product malfunction or user error;
- Issues caused by Wi-Fi connectivity interruptions, third-party services, or outdated firmware;
- Products purchased from unauthorized resellers or with removed or altered serial numbers.
4. How to Make a Warranty Claim
To initiate a warranty claim, contact Sprynk support at sprynk.team@gmail.com within the Warranty Period. You must provide:
Proof of purchase (e.g., receipt or order confirmation);
The Product’s serial number;
A description of the issue and, if requested, photos or videos of the defect.
Sprynk may require you to return the Product for inspection. Shipping costs for valid claims will be reimbursed; otherwise, you are responsible for return shipping. Do not send plants, soil, or accessories unless instructed.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, this limited warranty is your sole remedy for Product defects. Sprynk is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of plants, property damage, or lost profits, arising from Product use or failure. Sprynk’s total liability under this warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price of the Product.
6. Disclaimer of Other Warranties
Except as provided in this limited warranty, Sprynk disclaims all other warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, to the extent permitted by law. No oral or written information provided by Sprynk or its agents creates a warranty unless incorporated into this document.
7. Consumer Rights
This limited warranty does not affect your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection laws, which may provide additional remedies not covered here. For example, some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or limitations on consequential damages, so the above exclusions may not apply to you.
8. Governing Law
This limited warranty is governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.
